Featuring Rapp\x26#8217;s bluesy vocals, Schiffer\x26#8217;s accomplished guitar licks, and Shoham\x26#8217;s keys and crisp production \x26#8220;Lapsed\x26#8221; actually came about almost by accident. Rapp was taking a break packing for a move from San Francisco to Los Angeles and decided to give Shoham a goodbye visit. Schiffer, who was helping with the move, tagged along. Conversation and reminiscences turned into an impromptu studio session and the melancholy \x26#8220;Lapsed\x26#8221; was born.\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3eTo tie in with Tarantic\x26#8217;s housier offerings, the challenge of creating uptempo dancefloor versions without losing much of the original\x26#8217;s mood was undertaken. \x3cb\x3eAmit Shoham\x3c/b\x3e retooled the track himself in the deep and soulful Unrequited Funk mix. Though shifting focus to beats and groove Shoham\x26#8217;s mix still uses Rapp\x26#8217;s entire vocal creating a sublime club track that still holds its own as a \x26#8216;song.\x26#8217; Next up, \x3cb\x3eAndrew Phelan \x26amp; George Cochrane (AKA Origami)\x3c/b\x3e, known for their extensive oeuvre of cuts for their Prismatic Tracks label, bust forth with a techy, bass-driven monster of a remix. The vocal is precisely manipulated amidst bouncy rhythms and synth arpeggiations. There\x26#8217;s also a Dub which strips out the vocals for an even techier treatment. Finally \x3cb\x3eBradElectro\x3c/b\x3e, coming off his acclaimed Pinstripe Late Nite album for Tarantic, showcases his nu-disco grooves alongside stuttering synth chords and a spacey synth lead.\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3e\x3cb\x3eThe release is already gaining support from DJs world wide:\x3c/b\x3e\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3e\x26#8220;Great track. like the original and the Amit Shoham mix the most. will play\x26#8221; - \x3cb\x3eTommy Largo\x3c/b\x3e\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3e\x26#8220;I\x26#8217;m really feelin the funk mix and the original mix, this is a have to have in your serato\x3cbr/\x3ecrate\x26#8230;..Nice Job\x26#8230;.\x26#8221; - \x3cb\x3eTyree Cooper\x3c/b\x3e\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3e\x26#8220;Great Package and nice song!\x26#8221; -\x3cb\x3e Atnarko\x3c/b\x3e\x3c/p\x3e\x0a\x3cp class=\x22MsoNormal\x22\x3e\x26#8220;The Amit mix is my favourite, but a dub would have been wicked!
